Wedding Wednesday

I can't believe it's the middle of the week! Sorry for not posting last week but I was home sick for 2 days :( Not really in a bloggin' state of mind!

No new news about the wedding except Andy and I have been filming a "save the date" video with our videographer to post on social media :) I'm really excited about it and can't wait to see how it turns out! If anyone want to let me know how to post a video on the blog, please help me out!! I've tried before and it wouldn't work since Blogger changed up a bit. I may have to upload it on a computer instead of an IPad or iPhone.

I have GOT to find my dress soon and bridesmaids dresses!! Eeeek! Next month we are planning on taking Engagement pics :) that's exciting to look forward too!

I will leave y'all with some adorable pics of Andy and I with our Ring Bearer ROB!! Is he not the most precious thing ever?!? Also Momma gave me a personalized wire hanger for Valentines Day! Can't wait to see my dress on it!...when I find one. She gave Andy a custom "GROOM" workout shirt :)

Have a great week!

Wedding Wednesday-Week #5

This past week we've been working on guest lists and DIY projects! We have a few props that we are making for our engagement session in March and also a Save the Date video that we start filming on Sunday with our videographer! I'm really excited about this idea! I've never known anyone personally who has created a Save the Date video before, I've only seen a few that my videographer sent to me! I can't wait to share the final product with y'all and the rest of the world!

Here's a sneak peek at some things we've been working on and also some sample pics that we are hoping to try out that involve props :)

Does one of the bride to be's in a pic below look like a fellow blogger?? :)

Have a great week!

Ethan is FREE!!

Praise the good Lord above for all his blessings!! The little boy Ethan whom I wrote about last week was set free today from his kidnapper after spending 7 days in an underground bunker! Ethan is currently at a local hospital making sure everything is ok! The kidnapper is reported to have been shot and killed. Praise Jesus that Ethan is ok and is in the arms of his parents again!!! Little Ethan turns 6 on Wednesday! Happy Birthday to him!

This tragic situation is proof that God answers prayers! God is always listening to our cries!

14 Days of Valentines

Have y'all heard about this?? I found the idea on Pinterest and LOVED it so much that I decided to participate this year and leave little treats and such for my super sweet fiancé leading up to Valentine's Day. Now I've never been a huge fan of this holiday for a few reasons but this year is different... I have the LOVE of my life!! Andy and I are going to spend forever together and knowing that makes my heart so happy!! Here's what I've done so far!!

If you've done this before, what are some ideas you've come up with?

Choosing Joy

What a glorious Sunday it is today! The weather is amazing today in south Alabama! The sun is brightly shining, the breeze is nice and soft, and the scenery of the good ol' Alabama pines on the way to church was breathtaking! What a beautiful day to worship our wonderful Savior! Our preacher is talking about Philippians and encouraging the congregation to read the entire book this month and then keep reading it over and over again.. It's only 4 chapters! So my goal this week... AND month is to do just that! I encourage y'all to do the same, especially if your figuring out a devotion to do this month or need some extra scripture to ponder on.

With that being said, I'm going to share my sermon notes that were taken today!

*CHOOSE JOY!*

"Happiness is external, JOY is internal."

"Happiness is based on circumstances, JOY is based on Jesus Christ."

The Latin word for happy is 'hap' which means LUCK.
A lot of our happiness is based on our happenings. Jesus said that we will have troubles and trials. The BIBLE never EVER promises "happiness". We should want JOY and not happiness. Happiness, like temporary things such as; pay raise, raise of stocks, citizenship, etc.

Happiness is based on chance.
JOY is based on choice.

How to find JOY

1. Get over the distraction of what happened!
The "WHY?" Instead of asking God why things happen to us, start asking "WHAT?" Start asking God "What are you planning for me?" "What is the purpose of this?"

Philippians 1:12
"Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel."

2. Discover the new opportunities.

Philippians 1:13-14
"As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear."

3. Focus on what REALLY matters!

Philippians 1: 15-18
"It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But WHAT DOES it matter? The important thing is that is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I REJOICE."

"I will rejoice" is in the book of Philippians 14 times!
