Week Day Trip

My momma and I went to T-Town to watch my little cousin Darby in a school play called for her school. The play was "White Christmas"!! It was soooo good!

Darby played Susan, a 9 year old girl. She had two solo songs. She did FABULOUS!

Here we are after her performance!

My aunt took my momma and I shopping on Friday morning. We went to all the super cute boutiques around town. We also stopped by Starbucks and I got my FIRST RED CUP OF THE SEASON!! It is now Christmas Time!

We went to a store called Charming Charlie's and if you have a chance to go to one, GO!!! It is so overwhelming! Jewelry, purses, and clothes GALORE!!! Everything is color-coded!! Go to http://www.charmingcharlie.com/ to find a store near YOU!

Here's just PART of the red section!!

Here's just PART of the pink section!!!

I did leave with 2 items. A cute necklace and a watch I've been searching for. I've seen these watches everywhere! Fossil makes them and so does Juicy Couture. I was going to get a Juicy one, but the stones didn't go all the way around. Call me crazy if you want, lol. I decided to get a black one. This picture is not exactly like the one I got, but close enough! :) The band is jelly.

I also got a super cute owl necklace from The Private Gallery. I have an obsession now with small birds and owls :) Birds, Owls, and cupcakes. What a crazy combo!

We almost got some coffee from this new coffee shop. Funny name!

Welcome to The Strip!

Friday was my good friend Caleb's 20th birthday! My family took him out for lunch at Mellow Mushroom and coffee for our 2nd Starbuck's of the day.

My aunt is going to get sooo mad at me for posting this pic, but I just HAD to show you her lipstick tube! It has looked like this for years! It cracks me up everytime I see it!

Here's a pic of my wonderful aunt and uncle!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Surprises!

Don't you just love a good surprise? Whether it's a phone call from a friend you haven't talked to in a while, finding out you don't have class because of the weather, or getting a surprise package in the mail?? Those three happened to me today!!

First of all, classes got canceled today because there has been severe weather in south Alabama. Tornando's were spotted about 40 miles from where I live and tornado watches everywhere! Thank the Lord everyone is fine and the bad weather passed by noon. Here's what the outside looked like this morning. I waited to take the pics once all the storm clouds rolled over.

Sorry about the dead plant :(

Look at the puddles!

This morning as I was getting ready for work, FEDEX came and I recieved a package from Christin at A Classy, Catholic, Southern Bride. I won my first ever GIVEAWAY!! I'm so excited! It came today in the mail, and I LOVE my super cute new ornament!!! Thanks Christin!!!

Chloe Elizabeth loved getting a package! She just HAD to get in the pic with me!

Look at my new ornament to add to my tree! She even has rhinestone earrings! Christin even added one of their new christmas cards!!! Thanks again!

Work was sooo busy today! It's always busy when it storms! Once I got home from work, I came home and my MOMMA (i know she's reading and she hates when I say 'mother' on my blog..so i said momma this time)made some homemade Snickerdoodle cookies!! They are so YUMMY!!!

Momma also made Peanut Butter Fudge and Holiday Crackers!

Here's the recipe for Holiday Crackers! They are my favorite little snack and are perfect for parties and just to have around the house. Try them! They are quick and easy!

Holiday Crackers

1 box of cheese crackers (i use Cheez-It's)

3/4 tsp. Dill weed

1/4 cup vegtable oil

1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dry salad dressing

Mix all but crackers in a bowl. Add crackers and coat all. Pour in cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 8 minutes. Stir and then bake for 8 more minutes.Drain if needed. Enjoy!

What are some of your favorite holiday food items?

I will be out of town for the next two days, and will blog again this weekend!

Yay for Christmas time!

I am beyond thrilled that it is FINALLY December 1! I just love Christmas time! I love christmas music, the cold weather, christmas decor, time spent with family and friends, christmas cookies and cocoa!

What are some of your favorite things about December?
Re-Cap: BLACK FRIDAY
I worked on Black Friday, but only normal business hours, which are 10-6. I decided to go shopping before work. I went to Kohl's first. I bought 3 dresses for myself, some stocking stuffers for mom and friends. I went to Stein-Mart too. I was hoping to go to Screentech Warehouse for their annual warehouse sale each year on black friday weekend. Screentech is the place that makes all the Auburn, Alabama, Troy Trojans, and Georgia Bulldog apparel and gifts. Each year at their sale they have t-shirts for $5!! Sweatshirts for $15, Game day tee's $3, and Hats for $5! They have awesome deals! I try to go each year! I ended up buying an Auburn sweatshirt for myself and also an Auburn t-shirt that is so cute!
Here's the dresses I found at Kohl's that I just HAD to have :)

I couldn't find a pic of the other two dresses. Sorry :( But trust me! They are cute too!

Re-Cap: PAJAMA PARTY
Saturday was our 5th annual "Pajama Party" at work. It's always so much fun and we do it in appreciation of our customers! Here's how it works. You MUST wear pajamas. From 5-6am, you get any 1 item at 50% off, 6-7am, any 2 items at 40% off, 7-8am, any 3 items at 30% off, and 20% off entire purchase for the rest of the day. PJ'S must be worn from 5-8am. This year we had to have a security guard! He was so nice and did a great job!

Here's a Sorrelli necklace I got at 50% off! It's the new
Holiday color Cranberry in the Flower T-Shirt Style
I promise it's prettier in person! :)

Here's the line of those waiting to get their AWESOME deals at 4:45am!!
More showed up before 5am!!

Here's Jenn and I with our SECURITY GUARD!!! We told him to not wear his uniform and to look nice and spiffy! He sure did! This was taken right before we opened the doors at 5am! Jenn never went to sleep that night, and I slept for an hour and a half and was on my 3rd Diet Coke! We had some energy going!

Christmas decorating has begun at my house! We have our normal tree in our living room that has all white lights and has all of our Hallmark ornaments from each year, as well as other ornaments we have recieved as gifts and such! Each year my mother gives my brother and I a Hallmark ornament. It can be a collector series, (like the holiday Barbie's i had when i was a little girl) or something that describes something that happened in the last year. My mom always gives us our ornaments the first week of December. Today I got mine!! It's so cute. She got me the "Her Moment to Shine" Cinderella ornament to remember the year I started my blog Southern Cinderella!!! I LOVE IT!

I have a cute little white tree in my room that is decorated in all different kinds of cute ornaments! It has hot pink, lime green, purple, blue, orange, polka dots, and my dog Chloe's ornament I made her! I always look for new ornaments for my tree! My me-maw and I made my tree skirt, it's pink with purple rick-rack. I need to put a monogram on it! What do you think? I have added a bow on top since I took the pic AND presents!

Have any of you bloggers put any Christmas decorations up yet? Let's share some ideas!!

Have a great December everyone!!

Better late than NEVER...

Happy LATE Thanksgiving everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a few days. My internet has been down and I have been so busy working and spending time with family. :) This morning was my work's 5th Annual "Pajama Party"..which started at 5am!! I had to be there at 4:30, which means I have been up since 3am, and am just a little tired. So, this might be a short post.

My aunt, uncle, and cousin Danley came into town on Wednesday for Thanksgiving. I just love when they come to visit and stay with us! We all missed my cousin Darby so much! She was having a GRAND time at Disney World for show choir and wasn't able to be with us on "Turkey Day" My dad and I spent Wednesday night together doing some shopping and eating dinner.
The weather was wonderful on Thursday! Perfect weather for a fun-filled day with family!

Look at my cool little cousin Danley! We decided to have a photoshoot while waiting on everyone to get ready!

My brother Kyle and I. This is sadly..the best picture. He never takes a serious picture! My grandparents put their tree up early because we gave my brother and his fiance' their Christmas gifts early...they will be in England with her family on Christmas!

Kyle and Rebecca.

Carving the BURNT turkey..This was however a very good tasting bird! My "Unbundled Green Beans" were so yummy! I hate I didn't take a pic of them! Recipe will follow soon :)

Check back later this week to hear about my Black Friday shopping and to see pics from the "Pajama Party"! I hope everyone took time to thank God for all that he has given us!

Have a FABULOUS week my blogger friends!!
