Summer Reading

Our furniture finally arrived and I couldn't love it more! We bought it from Ashley Furniture HomeStore and it's the Porter Collection.
We purchased the following pieces! Our furniture is a prettier and darker brown wood than in the stock photos :)

King Size Bed
-We love that this bed has the storage drawers underneath, perfect for extra pillows and bed linens. Since it has the drawers, we saved money by not having to purchase a boxspring!
But that doesn't mean we didn't splurge on a fabulous mattress! Oh my word at how awesome this mattress is.. I highly recommend trying this one out if your in the market!

Dresser with Mirror
- this one is mine and I love it! The drawers are deep and spacious and the top drawers are velvet lined :)

Tall dresser
- this one is the Mister's. It's really tall and is what we will set our TV on once we purchase one this weekend. We loved not have a TV in the bedroom and didn't feel the need for one in there... But now that we go lay in bed at 8:30 because we love our mattress so much... We need a TV :)
Nightstands
- Love Love Love these! They are so pretty and the perfect size! Not too big and not too small. The top drawer is velvet lined as well :)
Speaking of my pretty nightstand, this is what's currently in the top drawer..
The Husband Secret by Liane Moriarty

I've seen and heard that this little book had been enjoyed by many. So far it's pretty good. I just wish I had a whole day to sit and read it start to finish instead of a chapter or two a day every few days. Each chapter in the beginning is about a different character. So by the time I got to chapter 4 or 5, I had to go back and re- read the beginning to remember what happened and the back story.. Does that make any sense?

Anywho.. I plan on reading this next!
I read the previous book..and it was REALLY good :) I'm excited to see where the characters are at in their lives now after the pulled their cake charm :)
How about a "throwback Thursday" in honor of my summer reading?

When I was in elementary school, our church held a Summer Reading Program. Our preachers wife was in charge and made sure to have a great theme every year! This particular year was Noah's Ark and Noah himself made an appearance! ;)
Happy Thursday! Just one more day until the weekend :)
