Busy As Can Be!

Hey everyone! I have been so busy lately! This past weekend I worked and also spent some much needed time with family :)

I tried out a new restaurant in town called The Red Elephant. It was very yummy! If you live in south Alabama or Florida(there's a few locations there) go try it out!

For starters we ordered the Hummus Dip and fresh baked pita chips.

Hummus Dip: Healthy & delicious, made from chick peas, tahini, garlic and lemon juice served with toasted pita chips

I ordered the 'Pasta Ya-Ya' without mushrooms for my entree and it was FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS!!

Pasta YaYa: Flame grilled chicken breast over fettucini with Alfredo sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, squash, peas, carrots and parmesan cheese

Mom ordered the Grilled and blackened Mahi Mahi with Saffron Rice. She said it was better than Red Lobster's!!

For dessert we had an ELEPHANT EAR!!

I hate so badly that I didn't take any pictures :( Maybe next time!

I have some studying to do for a few tests next week and math homework to complete (boo.) so I won't be blogging much this week.

**THANKS so much for letting me know which pair of sunglasses you liked from the last post. I haven't decided which ones I like, I know my momma has read your comments and my post and hopefully she will pick a pair to give me for my birthday :)**

**Also, Amie at Hissyfits has added something else to the giveaway. It's a Flip Flop Game. Perfect to put in your beach bag, or play with the girls. Don't forget you have to be a follower of Hissyfits and ENTER HERE! :)**

Have a FABULOUS day!!

Craftiness and Shopping

Happy Tuesday! I have had quite an eventful weekend! It's had its ups and downs but it's getting better. I can always feel better when I get to swipe my card and go shopping :) How many of you girls do that? Call me crazy, but I honestly believe in retail therapy! If your having a bad day, I think you should buy yourself a little something to feel better! If it's a candy bar you haven't had in a while, new pair of shoes, cute dress, jewelry, new bottle of finger nail polish or ANYTHING...after you purchase something that makes you smile..it makes you happy!

Well, I've done some shopping today :)...Some much needed Retail Therapy.

First off, I bought a super cute dress off LuLu's.com. It was $33.00 and I scored 15% off :)
This is the navy "Sweetest Thing" Dress. I love the flowers on the side, there's even a little rhinestone on each flower :) I love bling!

I went to work today and we got in the CUTEST Train Cases! Perfect Graduation gift, birthday gift, Bridesmaid gift, and for only $18.99!! I love how it has clear plastic over the brightly colored paisley fabric! So cute!
*Sorry that this is NOT the best pic, but it's better than the one I took with my camera :)*
The train case that I bought is the one on the left with the handle :)

After work, I had to return something at TJMaxx and got some store credit and found the perfect thing to display all my earrings! For ONLY $12.99 :) SCORE!
One thing I HAD to get to relieve some stress is.... DIET COKE :)
A friend of mine had a sweet little baby girl this morning. I went and bought a few little items for her sweet new baby. All newborns need little mittens so they don't cut their face and a super cute rattle!!
I have been working on making a little something for her with a monogram of course! So I came up with a hairbow holder!! I bought some little hairbows too for when she gets older! What do you girls think? The monogram is topped with some glitter for some added "GLITZ"!
Have a FABULOUS day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Wishing all my blogger friends a very Happy Valentine's Day! This is a not so good picture of the Valentine's Cards I ordered from Shutterfly this year. Do you like it? Usually, I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day because I think that everyone should show love and appreciation each and every day instead of just one day a year. But I will always have a very special Valentine...my sweet Chloe Elizabeth!
This afternoon I am going to see the movie Valentine's Day with my boss Amie and good friend Aimee!! I hope I remember to take a pic of the 3 of us!
Have a sweet day!

SNOW DAY!!

That's right! On Friday, Alabama and northern Florida had a SNOW DAY!! Schools were canceled, roads and businesses were closed. Everytime Conner Vernon (our weatherman) says theres snow in the forecast..there's not..but good ol' Connor was right this time! There was 4 1/2-5 inches at my house!! I live 35 minutes from the Alabama-Florida line..north Florida recieved some snow too!

The following pics were taken in the early morning...after I took these pics, we recieved 4 more inches!!
This is the first snowman I made on top of the outside trash can. He's a 'mini'.

The 'Mali' says it all! It was her first snow. It hasn't snowed in Alabama (where it sticks to the ground) since 1993..and she's a 99' :)

Here's 2 more 'mini's' I made on the car. I tried to stick Sixlet's candies on as eyes, nose, and mouth...but they didn't stick..but the color stayed!
Look at the lovely purse!! Complete with pink striped handle :)Chloe HATED the snow..until I layed on the ground to make a snow angel..she was scared something was wrong when I got on the ground..so she started running to me and then just kept running around in the snow!! One thing Chloe ended up LOVING about the snow, is the fact that when I made a snowball and tossed it...she would run after it..SO CUTE!Long story short..My ex..Jereme..he lives on the next street over..we are still friends..he bought me Chloe for Christmas 3 years ago. Anywho, he came over for some fun with Chloe and I.
We made a "snowgirl". I thought she turned out cute! Even with her 3-muskateer eyes, circus peanut nose, stick arms, and pretty scarf :)

Here's a better snow angel once more snow fell :)
After playing in some snow, Mom and I went a little North to visit my grandparents for some grilled cheese and homemade vegetable soup :) After we ate, my Me-Maw did some sewing and my Paw-Paw cleaned the dishes :)

And I thought the only snow Alabama had was cotton!!

Have a great Valentine's Weekend!

So Lucky!!

I'm so lucky to have people in my life who always put a smile on my face! It doesn't matter what they say or do, they just always can lift me up on the gloomiest days. Today a simple an act of kindness was shared at Hissyfits!

Today at work I called one of my favorite customers (I have tons of fav's) to let her know that a new shipment of Sorrelli jewelry came in and she said I caught her in a good time...she was taking freshly baked cookies out of the oven!!! YUM!! Mrs. Janet said that she would bring me some :) I am a lucky girl!

*Mrs. Janet said we have to keep our 'energy' for the busy weekend ahead for men coming in last minute for Valentine's by eating tons of cookies!*
Amie and I enjoyed tons of Macadamia Nut, Mocha Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Choco Chip, Cranberry White Chocolate, and Choco Chip cookies!! They even had a cute little homemade Valentine label on them!!
Amie's sweet son "Pickle" got to enjoy some cookies! I call him "pickle", he's the sweetest and cutest little boy!
This pic is HILLARIOUS!!! This was after I slightly choked on some cookie, becaus ewhen 'pickle' and I were taking the first pic, he put his arm around me...it was so stinkin' cute! Amie and I laughed and I laughed too hard!!
*Maggi and Jennifer, I know you two are sad that Mrs. Janet brought us some cookies, but we saved you some!!! :) *
What's YOUR favorite type of cookie?

A Much Needed Weekend!

Today is Thursday!! That means no more school for me until Monday!! My college only has classes Monday-Thursday :) Friday I work all day from 9:45-6:15. We will be SO busy at work finishing putting out Mahlon Grace jewelry and Sorrelli jewelry. OVER 400 pieces of Sorrelli will come in!! That's a lot to put in the computer, priced, tagged, and in the beautiful cases :) Here is what Mahlon Grace jewelry looks like. I am borrowing this pic from Amie at Hissyfits. Isn't this handcrafted, lifetime guarentee jewelry FABULOUS!!! The necklaces start at ONLY $76.99!!!
Guess what? One of my best guy friends Nick graduated from Marine school today in North Carolina!(He has been there for 4 months) He is going to be stationed in California for 3 years. I am quite sad about this and will miss him so much! We've always been able to see each other whenever we wanted too! We've had classes together, same friends, everything! It's going to be weird. This past summer when he went to basic, we wrote letters back and forth for 4 months religiously! I have a HUGE stack of special letters from him! Well, GUESS WHAT!! He was supposed to leave today for California after graduation, and he called and he is COMING HOME for 10 days!! I'm super excited! He gets in late tonight! I haven't seen him since Thanksgiving!!

Tomorrow night we are going to see DEAR JOHN!! I'm so excited! I think about him everytime I see the preview!
Here's some pics of Nick and I!

Here we are this past March 2009 at the beach during Spring Break :)
Here we are one night with my BFF Courtney!!
Here's the most recent picture of Nick on New Year's Eve in NYC. He sent this to me! I am so jealous he got to see the ball drop!

Mini Getaway

This past weekend my boss and I went to Birmingham for work and shopping! On the way up it was raining :( We still took a road pic anyways!
Instead of staying in a hotel, we had a wonderful weekend's sleep at the home of Kathy and Greg! We just LOVE them! They used to live in Dothan, and owned a business next to Hissyfits. (where I work) Needless to say, we saw the two of themm EVERYDAY...and we miss them :( Here is their FABULOUS brand new home!Friday night we arrived and went out to dinner at P.F. Changs. Amie and I split our food everywhere we went! We are watching what we eat. Amie is always making me try new foods! I tried MANY new things this weekend, and to my surprise I enjoyed them all! At P.F. Changs we ordered the 'Chang's Chicken Lettuce Warps' and for the meal the 'Chang's Chicken Fried Rice'. It was so yummy and my first experience at P.F. Changs!
Here's Kathy and I while eating :)
Saturday, we worked and did some shopping!! They had a Juicy Couture store!! I love Juicy stuff, but haven't been to a full out Juicy store, the one in Birmingham is new :) I bought a super fabulous black clutch regular $128.00 for $49.00!! I know everyone knows my cupcake fetish...well, I bought a cupcake necklace!! (and got a student discount!) Yay me!

Look at all the pretty Juicy jewelry!! The jewelry is my fav!

The pink knight in the store! The had different shape jars filled with different types of candy everywhere! So cute!

Amie and I behind the counter with my purchases! The perfume on the left called Viva La Juicy is what I own and wear religiously! I love it, it smells wonderful!

For lunch, we went to the Cheesecake Factory!! I have always loved this place! For appetizer we ordered the Sweet Corn Fritters which were wonderful and the onion rings. We sent back the onion rings because we didn't like them. They just aren't 'southern' like we are used to. For lunch we split the lunch portion of the 'Thai Checken Pasta' and of course for dessert we HAD to have some cheesecake! Our waitress was so helpful with her advice on which one we should choose. We went for the 'Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheesecake'.

We went to MANY boutiques, stores, and a mall and had a blast! In one little store Amie saw this sign and we had to get a pic! This is so true! "Of course your mother knows how to push your buttons, she programmed you!" After tons of shopping we needed a snack to refuel :) Amie ate a pretzel and Diet Coke and I went for the cookie slice with icing and icee!

Saturday night for dinner we went and ate at 'Superior Grill' which is a mexican restaurant. I was so full from the cheesecake factory and everything that i just ate the BEST cheese dip and chips and Amie got the fish tacos. Here's us girls!

Sunday morning Kathy made some Cinnamon Rolls :) They were delicious! We also did some shopping and took a ride through Kathy's new neighborhood!

Here's Amie and Kathy at PotteryBarn. We got some wonderful ideas from PotteryBarn for decorating! Don't you just LOVE PB!

For lunch we ate at Flip Side Burger Boutique. It was so neat! They had the BEST onion rings EVER and some really good sweet potato fries with chocolate salt! That's right ....chocolate salt! Also, they had Smore's shakes and Krispy Kreme shakes with nitrogen! Awesomeness!

Last but not least, here's a pic of Kathy and I in her neighborhood with a cool castle on the gold course!

I hope you enjoyed the few pictures I took of our trip! Don't forget to enter my giveaway HERE :)

Have a FABULOUS Day!!
