Wedding Wednesday-Week 2

Happy Humpday! This has been such a long week for me. It may have a little thing to do about me being SUPER excited about Andy and I's beach trip this weekend! Can't wait for some yummy seafood and shopping on 30A and Destin!

REHEARSAL DINNER/ REHEARSAL DRESS

Only 283 days left until the BIG day!! I haven't even started looking for my dress yet...but I have my Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner dress! I LOVE it and pick it up this weekend! It's a Sherry Hill cocktail dress! It's classy, elegant, and the PERFECT color! What are your thoughts girls?

FLOWER GIRL DRESS

My bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dress WILL be made out of Diopioni fabric. I just LOVE the texture and rich vibrant colors it comes in. Since I was little I knew I wanted my 'maids' to wear this material...but had NO clue what it was called. Heres a few samples of flower girl dresses I'm looking at. These dresses are VERY similar to the dress I have pictured in my head. Please keep in mind that the color of the dress will probably be a shade of tan with pink/coral sash or bow :) Can you picture that? Ok, so thoughts? The only problem I am having with the diopioni fabric dresses is that I will have to travel at least 2.5 hours to the nearest retailer that carries this fabric. All the bridal shops in Dothan don't carry it. I'd love to know your feedback or If you've used this fabric before for your 'maids' or even yourself, what company did you use?

Happy Humpday!

  1. i love this fabric, I'm hoping to find something similar. Have you ever heard of LaRoque, she is a dress designer in SC and uses this fabric, also Alexia Bridesmaids has a line of dresses that uses poly shantung for a similar look and texture.

  2. I've never heard the name of this fabric before, but I definitely recognize it. It's very pretty, and I love the idea you have for those dresses! I'm in Panama City -- have you tried Dream Gowns? It's right off of 231. I have no clue if they carry that material, but that's about the only thing that comes to mind. We're pretty limited around here. I like to shop in Dothan, myself. :) Good luck!
