Weekend Beach Trip

This past weekend I enjoyed a beach trip to Florida. I went and worked with my boss on Saturday at an event down at Seaside. Of course, there was more play than work :) Here's some pics of the weekend. I am also putting another picture of the awesome house we stayed in :)

Friday night, Ryan and I arrived at the beach. We stopped at the outlets before they closed, and we were the ones who shut-down the Polo Outlet :) After some shopping, we went to Carrabba's Italian Grill for some dinner. It was SO yummy! I had the Manicotti and Chicken Soup and Ryan had the Lasagna and Caesar Salad. They brought us some Shrimp and Scallops...that weren't ours. We looked at each other kind of confused, then 5 seconds later the waitress realized they weren't ours..but since they were already in front of us..we had to eat them :) So we got free shrimp and scallops :) They were delicious too! The whole meal was!

After dinner, we went to the amazing beach house and stayed up talking with the others who were there. Amie and I had to wake up SUPER early Saturday morning to work...needless to say we both got like 30 minutes of sleep! This is Amie with her breakfast at 4:00 am!! We split a triple chocolate cupcake from an awesome cupcake bakery! Diet Coke was also in the breakfast meal plan! She is going to shoot me for posting this...but o well :)

After working on Saturday, we got ready for Saturday evening. The guys cooked most of the dinner for us ladies :) It was an AWESOME meal! We went to the Shrimp place and got FRESH SHRIMP :) Shrimper's Seafood Mart is amazing! It's located in Santa Rosa Beach and they cook your seafood for you in minutes..ready for you to take home!

They are also WELL-KNOWN for their Key Lime pie!

Getting dinner ready was half the fun! Ryan was the grill master for the evening and cooked everyones steaks to their liking and also grilled the Vegetable Kabobs!! He did a great job!

"Mitch" wanted his CORN really CLEAN...NO HAIRS! So how do you do that?..a toothbrush of course!

Sunday after our morning walk on the beach, we went to Destin for more shopping and lunch :) Ryan and I ate at Red Brick Pizza and split a pizza...we ate it ALL!! He was proud of me for eating all of my half :) I will show you later this week some items I bought in Destin! On the way home, I just HAD to have a Mocha Frappe' :) Perfect ending to a fabulous weekend!

Rain or Shine..

...I was going to go to the beach on Sunday! Sunday I took a much needed trip to Destin with 3 fab friends! We were excited to lay out and catch some rays for the day, but we all knew that it would likely rain due to the tropical depression coming in, but we had plan B if that happened. After the STORMING trip down there...it decided to rain the entire time! Kate had to drive 40 mph on the interstate it was raining so bad..but we were still going shopping!! The girls and I arrived to Destin around lunch and decided to grab a bite to eat at Fudpucker's. We all ordered some appetizers and shared...I gained a few pounds today we ate so much! After lunch we went shopping..tons of shopping, and also stopped for dessert on the way back home!

Beach Trip!

Jereme and I went to Destin, FL for the day this past Friday to enjoy some shopping and just enjoy a day off :) We went to the outlets first. They just opened a Juicy Couture outlet so I was anxious to see that, didn't find anything that I just HAD to have though :( maybe another time.

Saks 5th Avenue had some really good sales going on, as did all the other stores because of Father's Day weekend. I bought the following at Coach for my trip to England :)

Jereme bought this Coach turtle keychain for me :)

Jereme bought some Polo shirts and some running shorts while we were there. After shopping for awhile, we started to get an appetite so we decided to eat at Hard Rock Cafe'.


Jereme ordered the Legendary Burger.

I ordered the Honey-Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich (SO YUMMY!)

After a delicious lunch, we strolled through and did some shopping in an outdoor mall with some specialty stores. They had a Yankee Candle store and I just HAD to get Momma a surprise! There was a Tropical Smoothie there and Friday was FLIP-FLOP Day! If you wore your flip-flops then you recieved a FREE Banana-Strawberry Smoothie :) Lucky us..we both had on flip-flops!

*Jereme did NOT have 2 smoothies, he was holding both of ours :)

As we were leaving Destin and heading home we just so happened to see this. I won't say anything. The picture says it all. Sad, sad. The oil is almost in Panama City, FL...an hour and and 15 minutes away from me, the beach I usually go to.

Saturday night Jereme and I went to see the following movie and it was hillarious!

Craziness!!

Well, I had a fun time at the beach and came back to my mom in the hospital! Eeeek! Long story short, she had stomach pains on her right side for 2 days. She FINALLY went to the E.R. after work one morning (good thing she works at a hospital)and come to find out..she had an "angry appendix". That's what the surgeon said...so he took it out. My dad is out of town and I am taking care of her this week. I go back to work tomorrow and I am scared to leave her home alone :( She's really sore and can't lift or do much of anything. Keep her in your prayers please, and me so I don't worry about her too much while at work :)

So here are some pics of my new car and the BEACH this weekend! I didn't take near as many pics as I should have. I realized I never took any when we went to eat at Margaritaville and Back Porch.

Here's my new car! I have no clue what to name her. Do you name your cars? My old car was a Mailbu, and everyone called her "Malli"..Any names for this car?..I'm thinking Sadie?

Here's a question: What is your favorite beach snack? I LOVE Special K crackers or Wheat Thins, and baby Goldfish!
