The Joys of Dogsitting

My grandparents went out of town this weekend and we babysat their precious child Becca.
Becca and Chloe are best friends! They see each other at least once a week and love playing together. Becca is a 7 year old poodle and Chloe is a 4 year old tiny toy poodle :) They get along so well, given the age gap. They both also love their ice water in personalized cups on hot summer days:)
Not to brag or anything, but my baby girl Chloe is a FABULOUS sleeper! She sleeps through the night and if she has to go potty in the middle of the night she uses her doggy pads. Well...Becca doesn't know how to use those and she has an overactive bladder, which means I had to take her outside every time she had to go potty, which was every 2 hours....even in the middle of the night. I got NO sleep. I am one who can NOT take a nap..I just can't lay there and fal asleep. Needless to say, the first night Becca woke me up at 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30 am. At 5:30 I could NOT go back to sleep. Momma works nights and would be getting home in a few short hours. I decided to clean dishes, tidy up the house and make my momma breakfast for when she got home. Let me tell you girls something...I do NOT wake up early. Mom gets home at 7:30 and I wake up at like 8, which means I don't make breakfast..ever. So just guess what she did when she saw this after walking through the door?

Thats right..SHOCKED is an understatement.

I mean look at that yummy goodness!

Yes, my Momma has told Becca she can spend the night anytime she would like! She enjoyed her breakfast very much!..So did Chloe, she just loves BACON!

Have A GREAT day!

  4. That was really sweet of you. Mamas appreciate the little things. I just finished tidying up the house for my mom. I'll be her favorite kid when she gets home later. :)

  5. I bet you made your mom's day!!!! It might be a good idea to stop offering water at a certain time. Like provide water all morning and mid-day and then maybe at about 5 or 6 pm stop the water so she doesn't have to pee so much in the middle of the night. She should be plenty hydrated. Then offer her water first thing in the morning.
