The BIG "21" will be here before I know it! I have some great plans already made to celebrate next weekend with the best friends and family a girl could ask for!

OOT Lunch Date!

Saturday I traveled through Birmingham while on my way to spend time with family in Tuscaloosa. I was so excited to be able to spend some time with Kathy and her husband Greg. We decided to have lunch in The Summit at Flip Burger Boutique. Kathy, Greg, and I have eaten there before and it was SO good that we decided to go again! Here's a picture of Kathy and I looking out over some of Birmingham at The Summit. Leave it to men to take a picture while the girls are in mid sentence. I was in the middle of saying something, notice my mouth is open a little.

I'm super excited about having Monday off!! I am planning on taking Chloe to the lake for a walk, some tanning, and some shopping :)

Spring Finds

I don't know how many time I can tell ya'll how ready I am for SPRING! The warm weather and light breeze's couldn't get here any faster!! I have been thinking about all the outfits and accessories I need to go ahead and purchase :) Hopefully in the next 3 weeks, I will be spending the weekend at the beach shopping and soaking up some rays! Warm Weather Is Here!

Look at this FABULOUS weather forecast for southern Alabama this week!!!

Earlier this week on my lunch break, I decided to ride with the sunroof back and enjoy the fabulous weather! According to my car it was 74 degrees outside!! I wanted so badly to just drive that little hour and a half drive to the Florida beaches! Since I had to return back to work, I decided to just go to Barnes and Noble and pick up the new March issues of People Style Watch and Instyle magazines instead. Looking at all the Spring colors and fashions just makes me want Spring beach trips and summertime to get here MUCH faster!

I am SOO ready for Friday to get here!!! Is anyone else with me?? Another 3-day weekend is near!!

"Here is a little chronicle of our trip so far.

1. We leave Mobile - sad day!

2. We fly over New Jersey - covered in snow!

3. A huge frozen lake in New Jersey.

4. The Statue of Liberty! - sorry about the quality, the iPhone zoom sucks! 5. Arrive in England - it's a little damp, but happy to arrive after 4 flights! (Mobile-Houston-New Jersey-Brussels-Bristol)

6. This is what kept Kyle happy. There were electrical outlets under the seats to plug in laptops and charge phones etc. So glad we had the laptop because they charged $6 to watch TV on one of our flights!

7. A few days ago we walked through a little coastal town with the puppies.

8. We walked through the town and on to the beach where little Stevie was very cold!

9. She kept shivering so I rubbed her back to keep her warm.

10. I wrapped my cute faux fur scarf from Brookstone scarf around her to ensure there was no cold air getting in!

11. We walked back along the cliffs - Magnum loved it because English rules are more relaxed about having your dog on a leash and all the dogs were really well behaved so Magnum ran off and played with about 5 dogs and he was very well behaved too!

12. Going home in the car Rhianna wanted to make sure Magnum's ears weren't cold. :)"

13. Alesha loves stevie! She's making it her mission to fatten her up and keep her warm and toasty. It's really not even that cold but poor little Stevie has like 0% body fat!

 14. The other day we went to Costa Coffee which is like Starbucks and Kyle ordered a large, which was especially large even by his standards!

15. We walked into town yesterday and Kyle wanted to take a picture on the bench he sat on with your mom.

16. It had just rained so we were kind of slipping and sliding down the hill, but it was nice to get fresh air and exercise!

17. Happy to be here, but missing y'all!

Today is my Grandad's 91st birthday lunch and tomorrow we're off to Rome - more pics will of course follow!

Valentine Sweets!

Today has been such a BEAUTIFUL day in south Alabama!! The sun is shining, a light breeze is blowing, and everything is just gorgeous! After church this morning I took Chloe outside for about an hour to play and let her "sit". She loves just finding a spot in the yard and "sunbathing"! I decided to bake some goodies for my momma and for the girls she works with at the hospital.

First, I made some regular sugar cookies with red sprinkles.

After looking through the baking cabinet, I found some PEPPERMINT extract and some peppermints! I decided to use the remining sugar dough and try to experiment....this is what I came up with!
You can't make Valentine treats without chocolate, so I opted for some HEART shaped chocolate chip cookies!! I just knew these cute HEARTS had to have some good tasting icing!!
Have a great Valentine's Day and don't forget that we should show people that we love and care for them EVERYDAY!!!
